Echo Echo opens November 12
I am beyond pleased to announce the grand opening of Echo Echo, my brand new art gallery in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.
Featuring new works by dear earthling (Jeremiah Hammer), Andy Kline, and Chris Olson. DJs Awggie (Booty Resin) and Manos (Innerflight) will be providing the beats for your groovin' entertainment. This event will also be fully catered and a keg is on hand, at no cost. :)
In conjunction with the rest of the Greenwood Arts Collective, this artwalk is focused on bringing you affordable artwork with the upcoming holiday season in mind. Everything is marked down for this event only. This is a great opportunity to pick up something extra special for yourself or for someone you love.
Thank you so much for all of your support over the years. This is indeed a childhood dream come true, and I hope to see all of your beautiful faces there.
Much love,!

Okay, so...
This is an oldie and maybe my sense of humor is a little warped, but I find this act simply hilarious.

Cover Band
Gallery One Nine Eight Eight recently asked just over 50 artists to pick one of their favorite LP album covers, and then use it as a canvas. They were asked not to do too much, but just put their little spin on things, creating a brand new piece of artwork from it. Presented by g1988 and Klipsch Audio, the results are pretty awesome. All the albums will be available for purchase, and they are all really affordable pieces. Fun little things to hang around the house, if you ask me.
Lately there's been a lot of debate in the art world about the over-saturation of group themed art shows, but as long as it keeps generating interesting ideas like this I'm all for it.
Here are two of my favorites from the show.
Alex Pardee
Tim Tomkinson

The Incomparable Doktor A (part deux)
There's not much to say about the latest piece by Doktor A just yet.
We don't even have a title at the moment, as the images below are just beginning to be leaked on the internet.
This much we do know. It's making its debut stateside on October 4th as part of the group show "Noxious Fumes" at our friends' Rivet Gallery in Columbus, Ohio.
Simply incredible...

The Incomparable Doktor A
There are certain things we can count on day in day out.
For instance, if you ask vinyl collectors to name the top five customizers in the game, Doktor A will be on every list.
Through his numerous customs, Dok A has unfolded his alternate victorian-era mechanized universe. We've seen armored suits, motorized air ships, and submersibles. Lately we're beginning to learn more about the commercial and entertainment aspects of this world.
You’re looking at "Blavatski & Son's Automated Kismet Disseminator", a perfectly tuned prognosticating device which will be exhibited to wow the public at the MADL Citizens show opening on October 25th @ LIFT in the Detroit area.
This sweet fortune teller piece sucks us into his universe abuzz with wondrous machinery. The inclusion and execution of cleverly thought out details from the realistic levers and handles to the detailed printed instructions on the top of the device up the awe factor and increase believability. Beyond all of that though, the piece is FUN to look at and dream about. Finally, the cherry on top here is that Dok clearly loves his work and it shows in numerous ways including the humorous set of printed fortunes, including the sassy "You will purchase art from an English Man". Amazing work.
